Hi there - love what you are doing BUT please make every effort to communicate in superb English since many / most of your readership will be educated people. Like it or not, part of people's initial impressions stems from how well you present your case on the written page.

Let me help you: the above quoted sentence contains a misplaced apostrophe in the word "it's". The word "it" is the only pronoun which does not take a possessive apostrophe, although I cannot give you a reason for that. The only situation where an apostrophe is used for this word is to indicate a contraction, i.e. it is, it was or it has. So please amend the above example (and check the remainder of your text) to "its".

And who am I? - an English teacher working on Hong Kong, keen to preserve high standards of written English, especially in worthwhile causes such as yours.

    Best wishes
